POSTCARDS FROM POLSKA

… a creative undertaking which unfolded over six transformative years amidst my residency in Poland. Rooted in a desire to delve into the profound dynamics of intergenerational evolution, this project sets out to navigate the complex narrative of a nation that has at times been overshadowed by 42 years of Soviet occupation, yet has rapidly aligned itself culturally with its western counterparts since the fall of communism. This captivating country, imbued with steadfast reverence for its history, finds itself torn between the embrace of conservative traditions and the forward march of progressive liberalism. Through my artistic exploration, I aim to unravel these intricate threads and present a profound visual dialogue that reflects the multifaceted essence of Poland today.
